David that's amazing - all of it. I never knew Deb Westbury, but I knew her partner, John, and his kids. I lived in the mountains for many years and they lived just up the road. I'd love to hear more about the workshop Ron Pretty ran. My work is a little more contemporary than what the press usually prefers, but I'm very happy they moved past the traditional constraints and published my work. @magdalena ball made some responses to block work that used in my collection, similarly to the block form you used in your exploration of the south coast rail. I think your work is like the short story by Frank Moorehouse that travels over the hills to the beach, which is a favourite of @richard lawson

Very lovely, Elizabeth....

The music reminds me of the work of NZ musician Annabel Alpers - in her "Bachelorette" project period...

I just dropped in because you "liked" my Note and followed me. To my surprise, I see you have a book coming out with Five Islands Press. Congratulations! I had thought Five Islands was moribund, but I see they have a new website - and even a poetry award. Ron Pretty published my little collection "Spinifex" in the Five Islands "New Poets" series in .... ohhh.... 2001.

Until re-emerging here on Substack I have been away from publishing since soon after that....

My Post "South Coast Line" tells some of that story...

You seem to have links to Newcastle - my former home, where we still spend part of the year. I see you have a "Gillian Mears" post too - a weird coincidence, since we live most of the year on the Clarence River, downstream from her old home.

So - with all that - I thought I should hit the "Subscribe" button.

Best Wishes - Dave :)
